  • 2 cup Gehun ka Ata (whole wheat flour)
  • Zaroorat Anusaar Pani (water, for kneading)
  • Namak (salt) - swaad anusaar
  • Tel ya Ghee (oil or clarified butter) - parathe sekne ke liye
  • 3 medium Aloo (potatoes) - uble aur masle hue
  • 1 medium Pyaaz (onion) - baarik kata hua
  • 1-2 Hari Mirch (green chilies) - baarik kati hui
  • 2 tbsp Hara Dhaniya (fresh coriander) - baarik kata hua
  • 1/2 tsp Laal Mirch Powder (red chili powder)
  • 1 tsp Dhania Powder (coriander powder)
  • 1/2 tsp Amchur Powder (dry mango powder)
  • 1/4 tsp Garam Masala

Method / Preparation

Follow step-by-step instructions
  1. Ek bade bowl mein ata, 1/2 chammach namak aur zaroorat anusaar pani daalkar naram aata goondh lein. Upar se thoda tel lagakar 15 minute ke liye dhak kar rakh dein.
  2. Ek alag bowl mein masle hue aloo, baarik kati pyaaz, hari mirch, hara dhaniya, laal mirch powder, dhania powder, amchur powder, garam masala aur swaad anusaar namak daalkar achhe se mix kar lein.
  3. Aate se medium size ki loi (ball) lein. Ise thoda sa bel kar beech mein 1-2 chammach aloo-pyaaz ki stuffing rakhein.
  4. Lo ke kinaron ko ikattha karke stuffing ko andar band kar dein aur extra aata nikal dein. Ab ise gol parathe ki shape mein bel lein.
  5. Ek tawa (griddle) garam karein aur bel hua paratha uspe daalein. Medium flame par ek taraf se halka golden hone tak sekein.
  6. Parathe ko palat kar uspar tel ya ghee lagayein. Dusri taraf palat kar doosri taraf bhi tel ya ghee lagayein.
  7. Donon taraf se golden brown aur kurkura hone tak sekein. Isi tarah saare parathe bana lein.
  8. Garam-garam Aloo Pyaaz Parathe ko dahi, achaar ya chutney ke saath serve karein.
