  2. 1/2 cup besan (gram flour)
  3. 1 cup finely chopped fresh methi (fenugreek) leaves
  4. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  5. 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  6. 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  7. Salt to taste
  8. 1/4 cup yogurt (optional)
  9. 2–3 tablespoons oil
  10. Water as required to knead the dough

Method / Preparation

Follow step-by-step instructions
  1. In a bowl, combine whole wheat flour, besan, turmeric, red chili, cumin, and salt. Add the chopped methi leaves and mix well.
  2. If using yogurt, add it along with oil and knead the mixture into a soft, even dough. Add water gradually to reach a pliable consistency.
  3. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
  4. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll out each portion into a thin circle.
  5. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat, lightly oil it, and cook each flatbread until both sides are golden and slightly crisp.
