  • 250 grams tofu, kata hua (firm tofu, cubed)
  • 1 bada pyaaz (large onion), kata hua (sliced)
  • 2 tamatar (tomatoes), kata hua (chopped)
  • 1 bada kela (large capsicum), kata hua (sliced)
  • 1/2 cup dahi (yogurt)
  • 2 chammach tikka masala powder
  • 1 chammach lal mirch powder (red chili powder)
  • 1/2 chammach haldi powder (turmeric powder)
  • 1 chammach dhaniya powder (coriander powder)
  • 1/2 chammach garam masala
  • 1/2 chammach jeera (cumin seeds)
  • 2-3 chammach tel (oil)
  • Namak (salt) to taste
  • Kothmir (coriander leaves) for garnish

Method / Preparation

Follow step-by-step instructions
  1. Tofu ko tayyar karein: Tofu ko kata hua cubes mein kaat lein aur use thode se namak ke sath mix karein. Use 10-15 minutes ke liye rakh dein.

  2. Masala yogurt banaye: Ek bade bartan mein dahi lein aur usme tikka masala powder, lal mirch powder, haldi powder, dhaniya powder, garam masala aur namak daal kar acche se milayein.

  3. Tofu ko marinade karein: Tofu ko taiyar kiye gaye masala yogurt mein dalein aur acche se coat karein. Use 30 minutes tak marinade hone ke liye rakh dein.

  4. Kadhai mein tel garam karein: Ek kadhai mein tel garam karein aur usme jeera daalein. Jeera brown hone tak pakayein.

  5. Pyaaz aur tamatar daalein: Ab pyaaz aur tamatar ko kadhai mein daalein aur halka sa soft hone tak pakayein.

  6. Tofu ko pakayein: Tofu ko kadhai mein daalein aur use medium flame par pakayein, jab tak ki woh lightly brown ho jaye.

  7. Capsicum daalein: Ab kata hua kela aur capsicum ko kadhai mein daalein aur thoda sa namak daalkar pakayein, jab tak ki kela aur capsicum soft ho jayein.

  8. Gravy banayein: Ab kadhai mein 1/2 cup paani daal kar sab ko acche se mix karein aur gravy banayein.

  9. Garnish karein: Tofu Tikka Masala ko kothmir se sajayein aur garama garam roti ya chawal ke saath serve karein.
